ISNET/CSE Workshop on the Applications of Space Technology for Food Security

9 – 14 July 2012

Dakar, Senegal

I contributed to this international workshop as both a contributor and a trainee. I attended the Inter-Islamic Network on Space Sciences and Technology (ISNET) and Centre de Suvie Ecologique (CSE) Workshop on the Applications of Space Technology for Food Security that was held from 9 to 14 July 2012 in Dakar, Senegal. I chaired the second session of the workshop on the first day. On 10 July, I gave my presentation entitled “Monitoring of the Damages from Space using New Microwave Earth Observation Techniques” to the workshop. It was well presented and raised the interest and attention of the audience. Most of the participants approached me and showed their gratitude to me for presenting such high tech topic in this workshop.  Through the links below the text and power point of my presentation is downloadable.

I (middle) chair the second session of the workshop on the first day; Dr. Alexey Terekhov (right) and Mr Abdelrahim Mohamed Salih (left) are the co-chair and rapporteur of the session respectively.

I (second from left) give my presentation on the second day of the workshop. It is well received by the audience.
